One thing in advance: all Scottish pipes from the workshop of R.T. Shepherd – whether you choose an inexpensive or an expensive model – are of the highest musical and technical quality. The models differ mainly by the external finish: the type of ornamentation and the materials used here determine the price!<\/p>\n\n
Of course we deliver our bagpipes ready to play with preset reeds and short instructions!<\/p>\n\n
And even after the purchase, we will be happy to advise you if you have any further questions.<\/p>\n\n

The low-cost entry-level class (models S\/B and S\/1)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n
Drones, sticks and blowpipe are made of African Blackwood and kept simple in their design – but of course very cleanly finished.These pipes are equipped with an excellent chanter made of Polypenco (without sole), with the Canmore Zip Bag and with the latest SM90 Drone Reeds with Tone Enhancers. Velvet Cover and Wool Cords of your choice. <\/p>\n\n

The excellent standard models (Mod. S\/2 – S\/5)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n
These pipes are also made of high-quality African Blackwood – but here with finely turned combings throughout. The very good chanter is also here from Polypenco. Mounts and ring caps are made of the excellent artificial ivory ‘Ivoirine’. Ferrules available in nickel, beaded nickel or ivoirine finish. These models are equipped with the Canmore Zip Bag and come with Chanter Reed, Shepherd SM90 Drone Reeds and Tone Enhancers. The velvet cover comes in the colors of your choice with Wool Cords.<\/p>\n\n
Optionally and for an additional charge, these models can also be equipped with Blackwood Chanter and Nickel Slides.<\/p>\n\n
The Professional instruments come with the very good Shepherd Blackwood chanter and Regulator Hide Bag (with Moisture Separator). The velvet cover on this version comes in the colors of your choice with silver fringe with silk cords.<\/p>\n\n
