The instrument is made of a natural cow horn. Please note that the adjacent picture is only similar – the horns used differ greatly in shape and color!

This instrument is largely chromatically playable, but cannot be overblown. The fingering is similar to the baroque recorder, but alternative fingerings may provide better intonation results.

We supply the Gemshorn with a fingering chart.

Care note: It is important that Gemshorn flutes are protected from drying out. (sunlight, dry heating air, etc.) Furthermore, you should try not to blow too wet: natural horn works like wood!
