The main goal of the course is to raise the profile of the Campbell Canntaireachd and give you a unique approach to the functional music of the Scottish Highlands. The interpretations in this course are based on intensive research and cultural intuition by Allan MacDonald of Glenuig and Thomas Zöller.

In each issue of the “CANNTAIREACHD Project” you will find:

  1. The complete, transcribed Campbell Canntaireachd from the original manuscript, including edits and footnotes.
  2. The complete transcription of Canntaireachd in musical notation, and additionally you can find Canntaireachd as “lyrics” below the sheet music.
