Description
THE BRAND NEW VOLUME 3 of the PELGEN TUNES is now available!
Like hardly any other musician, Christoph Pelgen has set musical accents in the drone music scene in recent years. A virtuoso musician, dedicated course instructor, and exceedingly diligent composer, he has contributed an incredible amount to the advancement of the scene.
This new, third volume of Pelgen Tunes, again contains 80, mostly polyphonic original compositions by Christoph Pelgen, written from October 2016 to September 2019. Eighty great new tunes, often created in advance of his popular workshops.
The musical diversity of his compositions is impressive, many of which are now part of the fixed session repertoire and some of which have even become popular hits. All over Europe his tunes are played with enthusiasm in many different formations. They are suitable not only for the typical drone musical instruments bagpipes and hurdy-gurdy, but can be played on all imaginable instruments – from accordion to double bass.
Those who play his pieces are called upon to find their own interpretations and arrangements. Nothing is set in stone. The notes are snapshots and the second and third voices noted in the book are often adapted to the limited range of the bagpipes.
A new collection of sheet music for all who enjoy good drone music and the further development of traditional music!
