WeePipe with Scottish fingering

‘Wee’ is the Scottish word for ‘small’ – and this little bagpipe is a quiet and quite easy to play, but still fully-fledged bagpipe.

The full-sounding, but only timbre bagpipe is played with the fingering of the Great Highland Bagpipe and has a drone.

Due to the low playing pressure and air consumption, the instrument can be learned quickly, especially for beginners. The short chanter in the key of C is perfect even for small hands of children.

The chanter can be removed and, together with the blowpipe, can also be played as a mouth-blown practice whistle.

All WeePipes are supplied with the excellent Canmore Hybrid Cord Bag in black!

The Wee-Pipe plays with reliable and moisture resistant plastic reeds: A high-quality EzeeDrone reed is used in the drone and the chanter is equipped with a good-sounding plastic reed.

The instrument is made of high quality and durable materials. The bag is made of a synthetic can be ordered in sizes for children (small) and adults (large).

– Suitable length of the mouthpiece

– Key of C (440 Hz), so it is possible to play together with other instruments as well

The musicians playing here are Roddy MacLeod, Finlay MacDonald and Allan MacDonald. The videos were taken at the National Piping Centre.
