Description

The second volume of the popular series contains another 21 folk dances from Central, Western and Northern Europe to join in.

This volume is now available again in a revised 3rd edition.

Among them are such popular and easy-to-learn dances as the Breton An Dro and the German Rose Waltz. Some more difficult dances, such as the Swedish Hambo and a special version of a French Bourrée, provide an incentive even for experienced dancers.

As in the first volume, we have paid attention to a balanced mix of group and couple dances. The levels of difficulty indicated are intended as a guide.

The book was lovingly illustrated with theme-related graphics by Uta Weidemann.

The accompanying CD is a joint production of the groups “Hölderlin Express”, “La Chanterelle”, “Spielleut” and “La Marmotte”. The melodies used are either traditional or newly composed for the respective dances.

Among them are easy to learn favorites such as the Breton An Dro or the German Rosenwalzer. Some more difficult dances such as the Swedish hambo and a special version of a French bourrée are included as a challenge for more experienced dancers.

As in the first volume, we took care to provide a balanced mix of group and partnered dances. Difficulty levels are indicated as a guideline.’

The CD included with the book is a joint production by the bands “Hölderlin Express”, “La Chanterelle”, “Spielleut” and “La Marmotte”. The tunes used are either traditional or were newly composed for the dances in question.

On the contents: The concept of Tanzbär 1 was used again: a music sample with its source and tempo at the beginning of dance descriptions in easy and comprehensible language; the necessary “jargon” is explained in a separate key drawings to illustrate the texts music for all dances in the annex.
