Description
This collection in three volumes continues the successful series of ‘Schnurrpfeiffereyen’ and contains dance melodies from the 13th to the 20th century. The melodies are playable on drone and many other instruments. A large number of the melodies in Volumes I & II were collected at musicians’ meetings in Germany and neighboring countries. The first volume contains 122 couple dances, dating from the 18th – 20th centuries. They are sorted according to dance types, mostly notated for one voice and mostly in the key of ‘C’.
